Robert Talks About Web Development:
I do find it interesting to be doing this type of job, and really I hadn’t planned on really going this far because I just wanted to take the first year or so and really get to know what the web is all about, and now I am working with very huge companies that are just amazing. I wanted to keep it simple and simple is how I really keep it here, and although I might be a small company, I am now working on very large contracts, and it is mostly with the professional end of things.
I guess the one lesson I learned from all this, is that you cannot trust anyone out here in the world, but you have to put your trust into your customer. If you don’t trust you customer then you cannot create great websites. There is one web developer whom I worked with in the past, and he use to tell me that it was bad business to do anything for free, in fact I can prove that person very wrong, because people want a visual, and with out that they cannot see their own website. There are also a few people I know who claim to be the best web developers in the area, don’t believe them, because if they have to brag that means their work is just not that great.
I am not going to tell someone that I can do something that I cannot deliver, and I just feel that customer needs direction. I have always tried to make sure that I get down to the customer level, listen to what they need and try to keep the eye on the concept. Not all customers know what they want and over time it can be apparent that there is going to be more to the project then just a once over and go for it. You have to spend hours with your customer, and the end product will be a happy customer, a great looking website and more.
